How do I edit?

A few days ago you've watched a editing video (not mine), but you haven't seen how do I do it. Today, I'll show it to you. First of all, I open my edition program: Photoshop CS6.
I open the photograph I want to edit, that will be this one:

Then, you click "Contrast and brighten", that is under the colours graphic.
You select the next brighten and contrast values, that are:
After this step, you click "Selective correction" and put the next values for Black, Yellow, Red, White and Neutral colours. You see:

It looks better now, doesn't it? Well, we have to fix something yet. Let's do it. Open a new Brghten and Contrast layer and put it like this:
Now, click in "Acoplar imagen" to unify all the layers in the original one.

In the end I notice that the centre object wasn't in the centre of the image, so I cut it.

Well! That's the end of the editing. I don't think it is a professional edition, but the photograph looks better now. I usually don't do more than 6 layers, so.. It's basic tutorial.
Hope you enjoy it!
There it is the "after" image.

Editing tutorial

Here you are! I was looking for some editing tutorials in YouTube when I came in with this. Looks good. However, it is on Photoshop CS6.
It looks good and simple. Just follow it step by step and make it on your image (opened with Ps, of course)
Hope you enjoy it, anyway!

Hi guys!

I'm glad to see you again!
I am thinking about posting videos (not mine) to help you in photograph edition, or if you need some tutorials, I can post some images that will help you.
What do you think about it?
"But it's hard to admit how it ends and begins"
Although you're trying not to listen
Avert your eyes and staring at the ground
She makes a subtle proposition
I'm sorry love I'll have to turn you down

He must be up to something
What are the chances? Sure its more than likely
I've got a feeling in my stomach
I start to wonder what his story might be
What his story might be

They said it changes when the sun goes down
They said it changes when the sun goes down
They said it changes when the sun goes down
Around here, around here...

The importance of a good photo edition

We start with this image:
As you can see, the colors and the background aren't really contrasted as they were in real life. This is because the camera doesn't capt them at all.
Opening Photoshop CS6, the first thing is to cut the photo if we want to. If not, let's see if we can change the colors.
I don't like the yellow background, so I changed it with "Correccion selectiva", and put "yellow" on 0% (because it is on 50%). Then, adjust "red" and "black", so it will be brighter or darker.
Having it adjust, the next thing is to contrast the colors. We click on contrast and there you have two things to change: contrast and brighten.
Looking for the best colors, I put contrast on a 95, and brighten on a 5.
We should unify the layers (because every contrast you make, creates a new layer), and save it with the same name of the first picture.
The photo we obtain is this;
It has not too many changes, but it looks better now, doesn't it?

Editing photographs

The truth in every camera (reflex or digital) is that it doesn't show the colours how they are. When you shoot, the colours aren't like in real life. This is because our camera can't show them with the same contrast, saturation, brighteness...
Because of that, you can increase this points with a photograph editor. The most popular ones are:
Download (free and paying)
PhotoShop (not free), PhotoScape (free), GIMP (free), (it is more focused on drawing), etc.
Online (free, or free basic tools)
Pixlr Editor, PicMonkey, SumoPaint, FotoFlexer...

In my opinion, the less edition you make, the best your pictures look like. I mean, photos with too many filters look harder on our eyes. A simple edition make your photos look better, so the attention is focus on it and not in the heavy edition.
If you want to catch the attention in the edition and not in the photo (because it is too simple, not artistic), it's better to know the basic edition tools. You can search for tutorials on DeviantART or in google.

Story of my life

As you have seen in the first post (and in the blog), I like taking photographs.
At first I started with a little camera that I had. It wasn't really good, anyway. I asked my parents for a new one, and they bought it as a present.
It isn't a reflex camera. In my opinion it's like a hybrid between a reflex and a digital camera, but it looks more like a digital one.
I expected less than it was. I thought that it wasn't enough, but when I tried it... In fell in love with it!
I still want a reflex camera because when it's dark, it takes better photos, and they don't reflect the light aswell.
Anyway, I'm very happy with my camera! With less than a reflex camera I do the same, so I can't ask for something better in digital cameras.
First, you have to know that the best photos are taken by the photographer, not by the camera. You have to know some basic things to do good photographs, as...
- The photographs (landscapes, portraits, etc...) have to be equilibrated. Not too much light on the left, and so dark in the right. Or too much things on the right, and an empty right side. If you want to photograph something in special, it has to be on the centre and it will equilibrate the photograph.
Anyway, it doesn't have to be always like that. You should do it like you feel you want it to be. Print your style on it!
See you soon, darling

2nd post

Well.. I don't really know what to post in this blog. I just want you to see how I got better!
I will tell some tips if it's needed.
Here we go!

Here I am!

I want to start with this blog posting the pics that I love the most.
These are old photos and now I'm better taking them, but I still love all of them!

As you can see, they are not as better as some profesional.
